According to Hugill and Lucas, the species is common in Hampshire. Habitat On dead wood from deciduous trees Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores sausage shaped, smooth (3.5-4.5) x (1.5-2) µm2. Basidia club shaped, four spored. Hyphal system monomitic, simple septate. Lamprocystidia thick walled, conical, encrusted. Septocystidia cylindrical, sometimes capitate, septate, encrusted. Edibility Inedible Notes Viewed with a low power microscope, or a hand lens, the surface appears crystalline, with numerous needle shaped projections
